DUBAI— UAE’s flag carrier, Emirates Airline (EK), has unveiled its top summer getaway destinations for July and August 2025, driven by global search and booking data across its expansive network.

As international travel demand grows, trending searches on emirates.com highlight surging interest in cultural hotspots, offbeat escapes, and tropical retreats, with major increases noted in France (CDG), Vietnam (SGN), Mauritius (MRU), and Japan (NRT, HND, KIX).

Emirates Top 2025 Summer Travel Destinations

Flight searches on Emirates’ official website for the July–August period rose by 7% year-over-year, with standout growth from key source markets.

France saw a dramatic 35% jump in outbound interest, followed by Ireland, Canada, Saudi Arabia (RUH), Germany, and the UAE (DXB). These figures reflect an increasing appetite for long-haul leisure travel among global passengers.

Vietnam (SGN, HAN, DAD), propelled by a 61% rise in search interest, emerged as the top destination.

Emirates operates 25 weekly flights to Vietnam, including a newly launched Da Nang (DAD) via Bangkok (BKK), facilitating connections from major European and U.S. hubs.

The destination’s mix of UNESCO World Heritage sites and coastal attractions has made it a top choice for summer explorers.

Mauritius (MRU) followed with a 41% rise in searches. The island continues to attract beach-seeking travelers with Emirates’ double-daily Airbus A380 service.

Sri Lanka (CMB) recorded a 32% increase in demand, driven by its scenic diversity and affordable luxury offerings.

Japan (NRT, HND, KIX) remains a favorite, registering a 28% surge in searches. Emirates’ 21 weekly flights to Tokyo and Osaka support this demand, with travelers drawn to the country’s blend of tradition and modernity.

France (CDG, NCE, LYS) rounded out the top five, with a 25% growth in interest, boosted by Emirates’ high-frequency services, including A380 flights.

Market-Specific Travel Destinations Trends

United Arab Emirates (DXB):
Flight searches by UAE-based travelers rose 13%, with top destinations including Sri Lanka, Jordan (AMM), France, India (DEL, BOM), Lebanon (BEY), and Morocco (CMN).

United States (JFK, LAX):
Travelers are increasingly focused on Africa, especially Egypt (CAI), Kenya (NBO), and South Africa (JNB). Most U.S. travelers opt for 2–3 week trips.

United Kingdom (LHR, MAN):
British travelers show rising interest (12%) in long-haul destinations such as New Zealand (AKL), Australia (SYD), Japan, Sri Lanka, and Mauritius.

India (DEL, BOM):
Indian passengers are increasingly booking to Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland. Summer trips from India often stretch beyond a month.

Australia (SYD, MEL):
Australians are shifting their focus to Europe, particularly France and the UK, with extended stays being common.

Germany (FRA, MUC):
Germans are booking more eastbound flights, favoring Japan, Vietnam, South Korea (ICN), and the Seychelles (SEZ).

Dubai (DXB) remains a magnet for international travelers. Emirates expects strong inbound demand from various regions this summer.

  • Solo Travelers: Make up nearly 50% of U.S., Indian, and Australian inbound traffic, typically staying just over a week and combining business with leisure.
  • Families: One-third of Indian and U.S. travelers arrive as family groups. Indian families favor shorter getaways; Americans stay longer (1–2 weeks). UK families often spend over two weeks in Dubai.
  • Couples: Young Australian and German couples dominate this segment, staying for two weeks to a month for in-depth exploration.
