DUBAI— Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced the establishment of a high-level committee dedicated to positioning Dubai as the world’s most beautiful and advanced city.

The initiative comes as part of the emirate’s long-term vision to enhance urban living standards, sustainability, and innovation across all sectors, including transport and aviation. Dubai is a global travel hub and home to Emirates (EK) and Dubai International Airport (DXB).

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the committee will oversee urban projects designed to make Dubai not only technologically advanced but also visually appealing.

As per the reports, the committee consists of the following people:

The Chairman of the Supreme Committee of Urban Planning, serving as Vice Chairman
The Director-General of Dubai Municipality
The Director-General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism
The Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police
The Director-General of the Crown Prince’s Office
The Secretary-General of The Executive Council of Dubai

Focus of the plans

The committee will prioritize projects that integrate renewable energy solutions, advanced smart city technologies, and eco-friendly urban designs.

The vision includes creating public spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible.

Enhancing Urban Aesthetics	Addressing visual issues that affect Dubai’s cityscape while strengthening its identity in line with approved planning standards.

Collaborative Planning	Working with the Supreme Committee for Urban Planning to approve and execute projects that align with Dubai’s broader development goals.
Performance Monitoring	Tracking progress at every stage, measuring results, gauging public satisfaction, and reviewing the overall effectiveness of initiatives.
Problem Identification & Resolution	Identifying unattractive or problematic urban features, assigning relevant bodies to assess, propose solutions, and take responsibility for fixes.
