Added connectivity between UAE and Mainland China

China Eastern’s flight to Abu Dhabi will be the fifth operation by the airline in the United Arab Emirates with four of its trips flying to Dubai from Kunming, Shanghai, Qingdao and Xian. From Zayed International Airport, this will be the second nonstop flight to Mainland China with Etihad Airways already operating to Beijing.

The direct flight aims to strategically improve travel between UAE and China, with Abu Dhabi viewed upon advantageously by Chinese businesses as a free trade zone with strong energy and financial backgrounds, whereas China hopes that the connectivity will strengthen Arab tourism into the country for visitors to experience its culture and leading technology.
