All Nippon Airways (ANA, NH) is a Japanese full-service carrier headquartered in Tokyo. ANA cabin crew are required to meet the following requirements to be considered for a role with the airline.
- Age – You must be at least 20 years old.
- Education – A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Languages – Fluency in English is a must, with a TOEIC score of at least 700. Proficiency in Japanese is highly advantageous for non-Japanese applicants.
- Physical requirements – Height requirements are 160 cm for females and 170 cm for males, with weight proportionate to height. Additionally, you need to have an arm reach of 208 cm while standing on tiptoes.
- Grooming – No visible tattoos, no braces, and contact lenses are allowed instead of glasses.
- Health – You must be in excellent physical and mental health.

All Nippon Airways has the following steps in its hiring process for cabin crew.
- APPLICATION – ANA advertises all of its vacancies on its careers portal. Interested candidates can apply for them using their resumes and other supporting documents.
- ONLINE TEST – After a review period lasting close to six weeks, ANA will reach out to shortlisted candidates. They are tasked with completing an online test to help the recruiters have a better understanding of their background and experience in line with the requirements.
- ASSESSMENT – Those who clear the online test are invited for an assessment. This step includes an in-person interview, group discussions, and a written test to understand the individual’s psychometric abilities, qualifications, and ability to function in an airline’s environment.
- OFFER – Candidates who pass all three steps of the hiring process are sent an offer, which is conditional on the completion of their background checks, criminal checks, and a medical examination. Additionally, they must also go through ANA’s training program.
