MONTREAL- Air Canada (AC) announced the resumption of non-stop international flights from Ottawa (YOW) to London Heathrow (LHR), starting March 31, 2025.
The service will operate four times weekly using Air Canada’s Dreamliner fleet, offering passengers three cabin classes.
Air Canada London Flights
Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President of Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada, emphasized the airline’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Canada’s capital. He highlighted London’s significance as a top global destination and Heathrow’s role as a major international gateway.
The new route will provide convenient connections to over 30 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa through Air Canada’s partnership with Star Alliance Airlines in The Queen’s Terminal. This expansion aims to meet the growing demand for leisure, tourism, and business travel between Ottawa and international destinations.
Galardo also revealed Air Canada’s plans to potentially enhance the Ottawa-London route with the future delivery of Airbus A321XLR aircraft.
Expected to arrive in late 2025, these planes could enable increased flight frequencies and possibly year-round service on this important international route.
The airline will operate up to 229 weekly flights to and from Ottawa in 2025, covering regional, domestic, international, and transborder routes.
