The 2025 March for Life: Thanking God for the Victories Won and Preparing for the Battles to Come

On January 24, 2025, hundreds of thousands marched in Washington, D.C. for the 52th annual March for Life to protest and make reparation for the sin of abortion. With renewed vigor after the recent victories, the pro-lifers marched with energy and enthusiasm.

Members of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) along with its Holy Choirs of Angels Marching Band playing bagpipes, brass, fifes, and drums, joined the marchers. The music was upbeat and firm, encouraging those marching to strengthen their resolve to defeat abortion.

The drums keep the march going with a steady beat

Members of the TFP’s America Needs Fatima campaign carried a statue of Our Lady of Fatima, imploring supernatural help in this battle. The TFP-staffed St. Louis de Montfort Academy was also present in full force.

The TFP banner read: “Fight for an America united under God, admiring purity and morality and freed from the sin of abortion!”

Vice President J.D. Vance Speaks

“It is a joy and a blessing to fight for the unborn, to work for the unborn and to march for life!” — Vice President J.D. Vance

Vice President J.D. Vance spoke at the March, greatly increasing the enthusiasm of the pro-lifers. For them, it was a sign that their voice has a presence in the current administration.

“We march to protect the unborn; we march to proclaim and live out the sacred truth that every single child is a miracle and a gift from God.” Vice President Vance stated.

“Thank you for being here and thank you for marching here today; and most importantly, in your works, you remind us that the March for Life is not just a single event that happens on a frigid January day. The March for Life is the work of the pro-life movement every single day from this point forward.”

He concluded, “It is a joy and a blessing to fight for the unborn, to work for the unborn and to march for life! God bless you all, and thank you for having me. It’s an honor to be with you.”

The pro-lifers were also pleased to listen to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and a video message of President Trump.

Time for a Reality Check in the Pro-Life Cause

Volunteers of the American TFP distributed a flyer titled, “Time for a Reality Check in the Pro-Life Cause.” The engaging flyer points out four new realities that the pro-life movement must be aware of for the future battle.

TFP volunteer, Benjamin Hiegert, helps distribute the flyer: “It’s Time for a Reality Check in the Pro-Life Cause.”

The four realizations that the pro-life movement must see are that:

  1. There are no moderates in the pro-abortion cause
  2. The pro-abortion position is not invincible
  3. The dynamics of the pro-life battle have changed
  4. We cannot avoid the need to change the culture

This TFP statement highlights the point that without addressing the root of the problem—the sexual revolution—there will be no truly pro-life America.

“Morals are non-negotiable. We must stay the course as we have done over the years. We will not weary in this regard. We will only be satisfied with complete victory.”

The Battle is Not Over

This election cycle has witnessed many victories for the pro-life movement, but it must still press the attack to create a culture of virtue, and make the sin of abortion and promiscuity unthinkable.

With the grace of God, and the perseverance of thousands of pro-lifers offering up hours of prayer and sacrifices in the cold, in the rain and sometimes even in prison, this battle will be won.
