ZURICH– Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS, LX) has rolled out a fully redesigned in-flight service for its long-haul Business and First Class travelers. The carrier now offers an experience modeled on fine dining, with new culinary options, refined details, and products from leading Swiss brands.

The new service concept, available on long-haul flights from Zurich (ZRH) and Geneva (GVA), introduces restaurant-style meal presentations, expanded comfort amenities, and signature touches designed to highlight Swiss hospitality from departure to arrival.

SWISS A350 First and Business Class

SWISS describes this as the most comprehensive upgrade of its premium in-flight service in company history.

Following the refresh of its Economy and Premium Economy offerings earlier this year, the airline has now elevated Business and First Class to reflect the ambience of a top restaurant. Passengers can expect greater choice, personalized touches, and enhanced comfort throughout their journey.

Chief Commercial Officer Heike Birlenbach highlighted that every element—ranging from tableware design to cabin crew training—has been carefully developed and extensively tested.

The goal is to ensure travelers encounter a seamless, polished, and authentic Swiss experience at every stage of their flight.

Enhanced Dining in Business Class

Business Class guests are welcomed with a Swiss-style aperitif service that goes beyond traditional snacks by adding fresh accompaniments such as olives, paired with beverages including the exclusive SWISS Alpine Essence cocktail.

Meals are served course by course at a laid table, now featuring an additional soup course alongside expanded cheese and dessert options. Pralines from Aeschbach Chocolatier complete the dining sequence.

For added comfort on long-haul flights exceeding ten hours, travelers receive new bedding, a Muntagnard sleepshirt, and an extra seat cover.

Amenity kits, created in collaboration with Swiss eyewear brand VIU, include products scented with the bespoke Alpine Valley fragrance from Soeder. High-quality headphones and a wider snack selection further enhance the onboard experience.

Elevated Refinement in First Class

SWISS First now emphasizes exclusivity and individuality through carefully curated service elements. Pre-departure offerings include Confiserie Sprüngli apéro flûtes paired with a welcome drink of choice, including the signature SWISS Alpine Essence cocktail.

In-flight dining begins with an amuse bouche trio, followed by a trolley service of cold delicatessen specialties, seasonal sorbets, and a cheese course featuring five distinct varieties. The experience concludes with pralines and Sprüngli creations.

On select daytime routes, an afternoon tea service has been introduced, complete with premium teas and sweet and savory accompaniments.

First Class travelers also benefit from pajamas and slippers by Zimmerli of Switzerland, premium Sisley amenity kits, and tableware with modern black accents.

The signature Alpine Valley scent is infused across towels, pillow sprays, and skincare items, while noise-canceling headphones ensure superior sound quality for in-flight entertainment.

Part of the SWISS Senses Experience

The renewed Business and First Class services form part of SWISS Senses, the airline’s broader long-haul product transformation.

Alongside culinary and comfort upgrades, SWISS Senses introduces redesigned cabin interiors, advanced seating, and ambient lighting across all travel classes.

The initiative underscores the airline’s long-term commitment to delivering hospitality rooted in Swiss culture.
