DALLAS- Southwest Airlines (WN) is enhancing its flight options by adding 2 new nonstop routes between key US cities. These additions strengthen the airline’s presence in California and Florida, offering more travel opportunities for passengers.
The carrier is also expanding service across various locations with new and increased routes set to launch through 2025.

Southwest Airlines 2 New Routes
Southwest Airlines (WN) recent announcement reveals 2 new routes set to debut in California and Florida.
Effective October 2, 2025, passengers can expect daily nonstop flights between San Diego (SAN) and Fresno (FAT), California.
The latter will increase from weekly Saturday service to multiple days, running Thursdays through Mondays.
This expansion is aligned with the upcoming launch of a new terminal at San Diego International Airport.
In addition to California, Southwest Airlines is also increasing service to other high-demand destinations.
The airline is introducing more nonstop options between Austin (AUS), Texas, and Jacksonville (JAX), Florida. Starting October 2, 2025, this route will operate Sunday through Friday.
Southwest is also preparing to add several other routes in the coming months, including new connections from Austin to Milwaukee and Reno, and Nashville to Indianapolis.

Southwest Spring 2025 Flights
As Spring approaches, Southwest Airlines is introducing several new nonstop flights to accommodate seasonal demand.
Beginning March 6, 2025, travelers will see fresh routes from Austin to Milwaukee and Reno. Meanwhile, Nashville will offer daily nonstop service to Indianapolis, and Sacramento will introduce weekend flights to Tucson.
These new additions reflect Southwest’s continuous effort to improve its route network and provide passengers with more options for both business and leisure travel.
For those planning an international getaway, Southwest Airlines is launching new nonstop flights in time for Spring Break.
Starting March 8, 2025, passengers from Nashville will have direct access to both Punta Cana and Cabo San Lucas.
Additionally, a new Saturday service between Sacramento and Puerto Vallarta will complement existing routes to Los Cabos.
These offerings expand Southwest’s international footprint and meet the growing demand for vacation travel during peak seasons.
