SINGAPORE- This morning (May 7, 2024), the launch of Scoot (TR) Embraer E190-E2 was commemorated at Singapore’s Changi Airport (SIN), attended by Mr. Chee Hong Tat, Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Finance.

Scoot is set to become the inaugural carrier to operate the Embraer E2 in Southeast Asia. During the launch event, Mr. Chee Hong Tat, Minister of Transport and Second Minister for Finance, remarked, “This 112-seater jet will complement Scoot’s existing fleet of larger A320 and B787 aircraft by serving thinner, short-to-medium haul routes new and existing destinations. Their smaller passenger capacity makes them ideal for opening new routes to smaller but growing regional markets and enabling additional flights on existing routes.”
