AMSTERDAM- KLM (KL) has unveiled its summer 2025 schedule, featuring 161 destinations, expanded routes, and increased flight frequencies.
The airline will add three new intercontinental destinations while enhancing connectivity within Europe, optimising operations, and introducing additional aircraft.

KLM Summer Schedule 2025
KLM (KL) summer schedule runs from March 30 to October 25, 2025, with a 4% increase in seating capacity compared to summer 2024.
However, due to aircraft part shortages and pilot availability, intercontinental capacity remains at 90% of pre-pandemic levels.
The intercontinental network expands with flights to San Diego (United States), Georgetown (Guyana), and Hyderabad (India).
Additionally, Portland (United States) will remain on the route map after its introduction in the winter of 2024. KLM will also receive three new Boeing 787-10 aircraft to support its long-haul operations.
Several long-haul destinations will see increased flight frequencies. From June, flights to Kilimanjaro and Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) will operate daily instead of five times weekly, increasing capacity by nearly 30%.
Service to Osaka (Japan) rises to five flights per week, while Las Vegas (United States) will be served daily, up from five flights per week.
Similarly, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) maintains daily flights, and Edmonton (Canada) will be connected five times weekly, increasing to six during peak travel periods. Overall, flights to North America will rise by approximately 10% compared to summer 2024.

New European Destinations
In Europe, KLM (FR) introduces three new destinations: Ljubljana (Slovenia), Exeter (United Kingdom), and Biarritz (France).
Additionally, flights to Milan (Italy) will be consolidated at Linate Airport, closer to the city center, discontinuing service to Malpensa Airport.
The airline is also doubling its fleet of Airbus A321neo aircraft, increasing from five to ten units during the summer season. These fuel-efficient aircraft will be used more frequently on European routes.

Frequency Increases Across Key European Routes
Several European destinations will see increased flight frequencies. Key changes include:
- Belfast (United Kingdom) – Two daily flights
- Porto (Portugal) – Four daily flights
- Barcelona (Spain) – Additional daily flight
- Split (Croatia) – Two daily flights in spring and autumn
- Krakow (Poland) – Additional flights
- Poznan (Poland) – One extra daily flight
These adjustments contribute to a 25% increase in available seats to Portugal and Croatia compared to summer 2024.

Bottom Line
KLM summer 2025 schedule reflects strategic growth, improved connectivity, and optimized operations.
With new destinations, additional frequencies, and modern aircraft, KLM strengthens its European and intercontinental presence while addressing operational challenges.
