BENGALURU- The capital and the largest city of the Indian state of Odisha, Bhubaneshwar is set to get new connections to 4 new destinations. Various airlines will add flights to 4 different Indian cities.
The domestic flyers from the city will now be able to fly non-stop to Dehradun (DED) in Uttarakhand, Kochi (COK) in Kerala, Jaipur (JAI) in Rajasthan and Lucknow (LKO) in Uttar Pradesh.
New flights from Bhubaneswar
Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi had declared the introduction of these flights. Apart from these, the CM also announced a non-stop connection to Indore (IDR) as well. However, the bookings by any airline are not yet open in this sector.
Two airlines IndiGo (6E) and Air India Express (IX) will enhance the air connectivity from Bhubaneswar (BBI).
Air India Express (IX) will start flights to 3 new destinations from 3rd and 4th January 2025. The airline will operate flights to Jaipur (JAI), Lucknow (LKO), and Kochi (COK).
IndiGo (6E) on the other hand, will start flying to a brand-new destination Dehradun (DED) from Bhubaneswar (BBI). Apart from this, IndiGo (6E) is likely to begin 4x weekly flights to Indore (IDR).
AI Express Flight Schedule
Jaipur (JAI): Air India Express will fly to Jaipur (JAI) 4 times weekly starting from 3rd January 2025.
- The flight IX 2801 will leave Bhubaneswar (BBI) at 07:55 am IST. It will arrive in Jaipur (JAI) at 10:15 IST.
- The return flight IX 2802 will leave Jaipur (JAI) at 10:45 am IST. The flight will arrive in Bhubaneswar (BBI) at 13:05 pm IST.
- The B737 MAX-8 aircraft will operate in this sector. Operated every Sunday, Monday Wednesday, and Friday.
Lucknow (LKO): Air India Express (IX) will fly to Jaipur (JAI) 3 times weekly starting from 4th January 2025.
- The flight IX 2801 will leave Bhubaneswar (BBI) at 07:55 am IST. The flight arrives in Lucknow (LKO) at 09:40 IST.
- The return flight IX 2802 will leave Jaipur (JAI) at 11:15 am IST. The flight will arrive in Bhubaneswar (BBI) at 13:05 pm IST.
- The B737 MAX-8 aircraft will operate in the sector. Operated every Tuesday Thursday and Saturday. Lucknow (LKO) will be operated on the days when Jaipur (JAI) is not operated.
Kochi (COK): Air India Express (IX) will fly to Kochi (COK) daily starting from 3rd January 2025.
- The flight IX 1596 will leave Bhubaneswar (BBI) at 15:10 pm IST. It will arrive in Kochi (COK) at 17:40 pm IST.
- The return flight IX 1597 will leave Kochi (COK) at 18:10 pm IST. The flight will arrive in Bhubaneswar (BBI) at 20:50 pm IST.
- The B737 MAX-8 aircraft will operate in the sector. Operated every day.
IndiGo Flight
Dehradun (DED): IndiGo (6E) will fly to Dehradun (DED) 3 times weekly starting from 5th February 2025.
- The flight 6E 2613 will leave Bhubaneswar (BBI) at 06:40 am IST. It will arrive in Dehradun (DED) at 09:05 am IST.
- The return flight 6E 2614 will leave Dehradun (DED) at 13:20 pm IST. The flight arrives in Bhubaneswar (BBI) at 15:30 pm IST.
- The Airbus A320 aircraft will operate in the sector. Operated every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Bhubaneswar, celebrated for its ancient temples and rich cultural heritage, is a gateway to eastern India. Visitors can explore the iconic Lingaraj Temple, admire the architectural wonders of Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves, and savor the vibrant local cuisine. IndiGo operates over 200 weekly flights from Bhubaneswar to 18 destinations.
Alongside Dehradun (DED), IndiGo (6E) is said to be starting non-stop flights to Indore (IDR). It is said that they will operate four times weekly, on the days when Dehradun (DED) is not operated. However, as of 1st January 2025, reservations remain unavailable.
