BENGALURU- Indian travelers heading to the UAE, UK, Vietnam, Australia, and other global hotspots can now apply for their visas for just ₹1 through Atlys, a digital visa processing platform.

Atlys has launched “Atlys One Way Out,” the country’s first-ever visa sale, fully covering visa application costs—including government and service fees—for select countries like the UAE, UK, Indonesia, South Africa, and Hong Kong.

Atlys Offers ₹1 Visa

For e-Visa destinations, Atlys will absorb the total cost of the visa. This includes both the official government charges and its own service fee. Destinations such as Vietnam, Georgia, and Morocco fall into this category, where no physical passport submission is required.

In contrast, for destinations that demand in-person applications—such as the United States and most Schengen countries—only the Atlys service and appointment booking fee are included in the ₹1 deal. Applicants will still need to pay government visa fees and biometric charges separately. The UK, however, is an exception, where both service and government costs are covered entirely.

The two-day offer is available only on August 4 and 5 through the official Atlys website. The sale is limited to a pre-selected list of countries published on the platform, so applicants are encouraged to check eligibility before applying.

How the Offer Works

Travelers applying during the sale need to upload three key documents:

  • A valid Indian passport
  • A passport-size photograph
  • Any country-specific supporting documentation (like financial proof or travel bookings)

Applications for e-Visa countries will be processed entirely online, making it easier for first-time travelers or applicants from smaller cities to take part.

Atlys clarified that this offer applies to new visa applications submitted during the sale period only. The ₹1 charge is symbolic, aimed at encouraging wider access and reducing the burden of non-refundable visa rejections, which have cost Indian travelers over ₹664 crore in 2024 alone.

Demand Driven by Gen Z, Tier 2 Cities

Over the past two months, Atlys has seen visa inquiry growth between 18% and 44% across destinations like Indonesia, the UK, and the UAE.

A large part of this uptick is coming from first-time international travelers, especially in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.

What’s notable is the demographic behind the surge: Gen Z and millennials who are exploring travel beyond traditional short-haul favorites. Countries such as Egypt, Kenya, and Taiwan are increasingly being considered alongside mainstays like Australia and Qatar.

Sale Access and Limitations

The ₹1 visa sale will run only on the Atlys platform and is not valid via any third-party agents or apps. There is no promo code required.

Availability is expected to be limited based on country and volume, and users are advised to apply early on August 4 or 5.

The sale is positioned not just as a marketing push but as a response to the high costs and complexities many Indian travelers face when applying for visas—especially when applications get rejected without refunds.
