Emirates A350 to Muscat

Emirates’ decision to deploy its new Airbus A350-900 on the Dubai–Muscat route signals the airline’s strategic focus on enhancing the passenger experience even on short-haul sectors.

The aircraft features a three-class layout with a total of 312 seats: 32 Business Class lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, 21 Premium Economy seats in a 2-3-2 arrangement, and 259 Economy Class seats in a 3-3-3 setup.

The A350 cabin is equipped with Emirates’ newest inflight entertainment system, high-speed Wi-Fi, improved lighting, and more spacious interiors—delivering a premium experience across all classes. These features aim to make even a one-hour flight feel elevated and comfortable, particularly for transit passengers connecting to long-haul services.

Muscat (MCT) joins a growing list of cities receiving Emirates’ Airbus A350 service, following regional destinations such as Kuwait (KWI), Bahrain (BAH), Dammam (DMM), and Amman (AMM), and international points like Mumbai (BOM), Edinburgh (EDI), Tunis (TUN), Colombo (CMB), and Ahmedabad (AMD).

Emirates currently operates seven A350s and plans to expand this network to 17 destinations by year-end, reinforcing its strategy of modernizing its medium-haul fleet and boosting connectivity across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas via its Dubai hub.

Extra Capacity for Summer

To accommodate increased summer travel, Emirates has also introduced two additional weekly rotations on the Dubai–Muscat route.

These operate on Thursdays and Saturdays as Flight EK862, departing Dubai at 7:55 AM and arriving in Muscat at 9:05 AM. The return, EK863, departs Muscat at 11:25 AM and reaches Dubai by 12:30 PM.

These supplemental flights enhance frequency and flexibility for both business and leisure travelers, particularly during peak travel periods.
