DUBAI- UAE-based carrier, Emirates Airline (EK) is hiring experienced aircraft maintenance technicians in multiple countries which includes India, Singapore, etc.

The Dubai-based carrier is looking for qualified professionals with a minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance to support their expanding operations.

Emirates Aircraft Technicians Job

Candidates must possess an Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent training from a reputable airline or approved maintenance organization. Alternatively, those holding an Engineering Aircraft Maintenance License with 7 years of experience are also eligible to apply.

Job Role

The Aircraft Technician position involves carrying out maintenance tasks on both Emirates and third-party aircraft and components according to established procedures and regulations.

Technicians will work as part of a team under Licensed Aircraft Engineers within the trade disciplines for which they have been trained.

Key responsibilities include performing routine aircraft, engine, and component servicing while adhering to all safety protocols. Technicians will handle fluid replenishment, aircraft refueling, and systems charging/servicing as required by manufacturer specifications.

Technical Responsibilities and Requirements

Successful candidates will be responsible for component replacement and various maintenance activities as directed by their immediate supervisor. This requires proficiency in obtaining and understanding technical documentation including Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC), and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).

Technicians will assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers with walk-around checks upon arrival and prior to departure, troubleshooting, defect rectification, and implementation of modifications. They must also be able to accurately follow instructions detailed in job cards.

Safety and Operational Excellence

Emirates places a strong emphasis on creating and maintaining a culture of safety. Technicians are expected to actively participate in minimizing accidents and highlighting deficiencies that could lead to potential safety issues.

Maintaining clean work locations and excellent housekeeping conditions is mandatory. This includes regular auditing of work areas (including the ramp), vehicles, stands, lockers, and toolboxes to prevent Foreign Object Damage (FOD).

Candidates must be fully conversant with airport safety regulations and maintain an airport driving permit. Knowledge of airport maneuvering area requirements is essential.

Professional Development and Work Ethic

The role involves close collaboration with supervisors through the Performance Management review system to establish development plans, including training needs and timeframes for completion. Maintaining high grooming standards and excellent attendance is expected.

Technicians must ensure prompt attendance to all allocated tasks to maximize ground time and avoid operational delays or disruptions. This includes obtaining aircraft/component status briefings from Licensed Aircraft Engineers and preparing accordingly.

Effective communication of any defects found to Licensed Aircraft Engineers and comprehensive shift handovers are crucial aspects of the position.
