Avianca Airlines to Launch New LifeMiles US Credit Card

2 tygodni temu

BOGOTA- Avianca (AV) LifeMiles, a member of the Star Alliance, boasts one of the most esteemed frequent flyer programs, particularly favored by experts in award travel.

It stands out among its peers with reasonable redemption prices, the absence of fuel surcharges, and the flexibility to reduce award prices when combining coach segments with business or first class.

LifeMiles serves as a transfer partner for American Express, Citi, Capital One, and Bilt, offering frequent opportunities for point transfers and often running promotions for point sales at a discounted rate.

However, since the termination of its relationship with Banco Popular, its U.S. co-brand issuing partner, two years ago, there hasn’t been a U.S. credit card available for the program.

This is set to change as they prepare to launch a new U.S. credit card, which is expected to offer compelling benefits, reported ViewfromtheWing.

The upcoming release will feature two distinct card options, both issued by American Express, with anticipation particularly high for the super-premium card and its potential perks.

10,000 Bonus Points

Details of the card have not been disclosed yet. However, joining the waitlist (which will notify you when the card becomes available), you’ll earn additional points through an initial bonus. There’s truly no reason not to take advantage of this opportunity.

With multiple avenues such as credit card sign-ups, points transfers, and discounted point sales, acquiring LifeMiles points in the U.S. will be exceptionally convenient.

These points can be redeemed for travel across many Star Alliance airlines, including Air India, United (UA), Air Canada (AC), and Lufthansa (LH).

Furthermore, the card isn’t offered by Chase, Citi, or Bank of America; it’s a Cardless product. Having card options outside the typical choices is a welcome addition.

By signing up for the waitlist, you’ll qualify for:

  • 10,000 additional miles upon approval for the premium $249 annual fee card and meeting the minimum spending requirement.
  • 5,000 extra miles upon approval for the $99 annual fee card and meeting the minimum spending requirement.
