FORT WORTH— American Airlines (AA) will upgrade long-haul travel this winter by expanding its premium Flagship Suite® seating to new global routes. The redesigned Boeing 787-9 aircraft will fly to London Heathrow (LHR), Buenos Aires (EZE), Auckland (AKL), and Brisbane (BNE) with enhanced comfort and premium amenities.
Starting July 7, Flagship Suite® seats will be available for booking on selected routes departing from major U.S. hubs, including Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), and Philadelphia (PHL). These new offerings mark a major premium push across three continents.

American Airlines Flagship 787 Routes
American Airlines (AA) is enhancing its premium international experience with Flagship Suite® seating on new long-haul routes operated by the Boeing 787-9. Starting this winter season, travelers can enjoy the Flagship Suite® on the following routes:
- Chicago (ORD) – London Heathrow (LHR): All flights beginning July 5, continuing into winter.
- Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) – Auckland (AKL): Daily service from Jan. 5 to Mar. 28.
- Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) – Brisbane (BNE): Daily service from Oct. 25 to Mar. 28.
- Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) – Buenos Aires (EZE): Daily from Oct. 26 to Jan. 5.
- Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) – London Heathrow (LHR): One daily flight (AA78/AA79) Oct. 26–Jan. 5, with a second (AA20/AA21) added Dec. 3–Jan. 5.
- Philadelphia (PHL) – London Heathrow (LHR): Daily service Oct. 25–Jan. 5.
American Airlines is the exclusive operator of the DFW–AKL and DFW–BNE routes. These ultra-long-haul flights underscore AA’s strategy to offer premium travel experiences across its most strategic routes.
With 51 Flagship Suite® seats and 32 Premium Economy seats on each Boeing 787-9, passengers can tailor their journeys with a range of comfort levels.

Flagship Comfort for Premium Travelers
The Flagship Suite® seat redefines long-haul luxury with private suites, lie-flat beds, and upgraded cabin finishes. Features include:
- Chaise lounge mode for personalized relaxation
- Dual-sided pillows, premium duvets, slippers, pajamas, and fleece blankets
- Enhanced bedding and sleep-focused amenities across Flagship Suite®, Business Class, and Premium Economy
American is also set to introduce pajamas and mattress pads in Flagship® Business class on all widebody flights to East Asia, the Middle East, India, Australia, and New Zealand later this summer.
In addition, passengers can identify flights featuring the redesigned Flagship Suite® cabin by looking for the “78P” designator on aa.com during booking.

London Demand Leads Premium Expansion
American Airlines is the largest U.S. carrier serving London Heathrow (LHR) and is capitalizing on high demand by offering up to 1,500 daily premium seats to the UK capital this winter.
All ORD–LHR and PHL–LHR flights will feature the upgraded Flagship Suite® experience during the winter schedule, especially during the busy December holiday travel season.
