Air India has achieved several significant operational milestones, marking substantial progress in its transformation journey.

The airline has become the first Indian carrier to offer Wi-Fi services across its domestic and international flights, implementing the technology on its A350, 787-9, and select A321neo aircraft.

The airline’s training capabilities will expand with the procurement of 34 trainer aircraft from Piper Aircraft (US) and Diamond Aircraft (Austria). The new flying school in Amravati, Maharashtra, scheduled to commence operations in the second half of 2025, will train 180 pilot candidates annually.

Air India’s maintenance operations have shown significant improvement, with 42 of 55 domestic stations now managed directly by Air India staff. Domestic expansion includes new routes from Dimapur and Patna, connecting to Guwahati, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, and Hyderabad.

Additional routes from Bhubaneswar to Jaipur, Kochi, Lucknow, and Patna will further enhance connectivity. Eight new aircraft support this expansion, including four Boeing deliveries and four single-class aircraft transfers from Air India.

The airline’s safety initiatives include hosting an industry-first symposium on Dangerous Goods Regulation (DGR), themed ‘Safety Beyond Competition.’ The event brought together internal and external stakeholders from various airlines.
