ALMATY – Kazakhstan’s flag carrier, Air Astana (KC) will launch of a new nonstop route between Almaty (ALA) and Mumbai (BOM) starting from April 20, 2025. It will operate three weekly flights using its Airbus A320 family aircraft.
This expansion complements Air Astana’s existing services to Delhi and highlights the growing demand for business and leisure travel between the two nations.
New Route Details and Fare
The Almaty–Mumbai service will operate on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with the following schedule:
- Departure from Almaty (ALA): 04:30 AM, Arrival in Mumbai (BOM): 09:55 AM
- Departure from Mumbai (BOM): 11:00 AM,Arrival in Almaty (ALA): 14:45 PM
The flight duration is 4 hours 50 minutes on the outbound journey and 4 hours 20 minutes on the return leg.

- Economy Class return fares (including taxes) start at USD 406.
- Business Class return fares (including taxes) start at USD 1,136.

Strengthening India-Kazakhstan Ties
The airline’s expansion into Mumbai marks a significant milestone in 20 years of Air Astana’s operations in India. Since 2004, Air Astana has steadily grown its presence, currently operating nine weekly flights between Almaty and Delhi.
The addition of Mumbai to its network reinforces its commitment to providing seamless travel options between Kazakhstan and India.
